Thanks muchly for the help.
In response to your query, I'm using an A500 and that neato program Lightrave
that lets me use lightwave without the toaster board. (now, if I could just
find a way to get rid of that stupid dongle!) Anyway, I have ECS, 1C/4F RAM.
So slow is an understatement. But, if I save the RGB images and then edit them
into an anim in DPaint 4.5, I can get some halfway decent stuff. Not as good
as a Seaquest or Voyager or Babylon 5 scene, but passable. The most I've done
so far is about 30 frames, which takes about 3 or 4 hours to render (and that's
realistic with just trace shadows on!) But the only other option is to draw
every frame by hand (yikes!) so I persevere.
Resolution? 320X200 HAM images. I tried 376X240, but dpaint won't import 376
wide HAMs.
I currently have several background pics that I made up from NASA images so my
ships can fly past Earth, Mars or Jupiter.
Thanks again for the help.
Well met and godspeed,
Giark
